The autonomy of the organisation was realised under the Statistics Act of 2009, repealing the archaic 1967 Act, under which Central Statistics Office was formed.\n\nStatistics Botswana's Microdata Portal disseminates microdata from government surveys and administrative records. The site has micro-datasets from 1995 to the current year.
