Open public spaces are understood to be all uncovered areas between buildings such as pedestrian streets, sidewalks, squares, and the boardwalk of Luanda's riverside, for example. Parking lots or other similar privately owned spaces are exceptions. The study falls under Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG 11). SDG 11.7 is dedicated to 'Sustainable Cities and Communities' and includes the target of ensuring universal access to safe, inclusive, accessible, and green public spaces, especially for women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, by 2030. The survey aimed to understand from current users of public spaces in downtown Luanda what attracts them, what is lacking, and what should/can be improved so that the public spaces in downtown Luanda become places of intense and inclusive social interaction.
In-person answers were collected in the Luanda city centre, as well as in the residential neighbourhoods of Miramar, Maianga, Coqueiros, Marçal, and Porto de Luanda.
Individuals
Survey data
O questionário foi elaborado com foco nos espaços públicos, mas também com relevância em questões como agregado familiar, habitação, qualidade da água e transportes.

The questionnaire was designed with a focus on public spaces, but also with relevance to issues such as household composition, housing, water quality, and transportation.
["Face-to-Face and Computer Assisted Personal and Telephone Interview
Laboratório Urbano de Angola/Angolan Urban Laboratory.
