The 2008 Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey (2008 NDHS) was implemented by the National Population Commission (NPC) and fielded from June to October 2008. ICF Macro provided technical assistance as well as funding to the survey through MEASURE DHS, a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) that provides support and technical assistance for the implementation of population and health surveys in countries worldwide. Funding for the survey was provided by USAID and the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Funding for the household listing and additional fieldwork support was provided by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
