Green Occupations Crosswalk Data
The Green Occupations Crosswalk Data 2024 is a replication dataset that supports the findings documented in the Working Paper by Davidson, K, et al. An Analytical Framework to Assess Green Transition Jobs in South Africa published by the Southern Africa Labour and Development Research Unit at the University of Cape Town. data includes crosswalks and conversion measures to apply Occupational Information Network (O*NET) green occupation data to South African labour market data.
Green occupations, or green jobs, are professional careers that involve working in environmental preservation and sustainability and that focus developing environmentally aware practices and technologies.
Such occupations are linked to achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable, which is one of the Sustainable Development Goals agreed on by the United Nations in 2015 to be achieved by 2030.
The Green Occupations Crosswalk Data 2024 is one of the replication datasets available in our African Research Replication and Reproducibility Data collection established to make underlying data from African research publications publicly available, to allow for reanalyses to support research integrity.
